All medications and vaccinations can have side effects. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is aware of a very small percentage of people suffering a rare clotting complication occurring between days 4-20 post vaccination. This is particularly after the Astrazeneca Vaccine. Where blood clots are present, massage may cause fragments of clots to break off and cause heart attack or stroke. This information should be taken into consideration  when deciding whether to proceed with treatment. ​
